Hawaiian Pineapple Cake

1. Prepare the cake batter
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch (22×33 cm) baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Add the eggs, crushed pineapple with all its juice, and vanilla.
Mix gently until fully combined (do NOT drain the pineapple—its juice is what keeps the cake moist).

2. Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool completely before frosting.

Optional Cream Cheese Frosting
Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
Add powdered sugar little by little until creamy.
Mix in vanilla extract.
Spread over the cooled cake.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using.

Tips
This cake tastes EVEN BETTER the next day.
For extra tropical flavor, add ½ cup shredded coconut to the batter.
You can also add 1 teaspoon cinnamon if you like warm spice.
